PRESCRIPTION POLICY

Prescription Policy:

Most GP’s will not leave prescriptions at the front desk for you to pick-up without seeing you for an appointment. It doesn’t matter if:

Your symptoms are under control

You’ve been taking the same medication for years

It’s something you will be taking for life

‘It’ll only take them 5 minutes!’

If you are taking regular medication then you need to have regular check-ups with your GP.  Your repeat scripts at Coolalinga Doctors and Health Centre will always be bulk billed.

If you do not make an appointment the doctor has no other time in which to complete these requests.

WEBSTER PACKS

We do not automatically send your pharmacy repeat prescriptions for items in your webster packs! Please ask your pharmacist when you will be due for new prescriptions so that you can make an appointment with your GP. Any condition requiring regular medication also requires regular monitoring by a doctor.

At the doctor’s discretion prescriptions will be sent to pharmacies for patients that have great difficulty attending the practice due to chronic illness/impairment or disability and who do not have a family member or carer who can attend on their behalf.
